2019 Scholarship Winners Announced
Prospect Airport Services, Inc. and the Prospect Charitable Foundation are pleased to announce the awarding of the 2019 Robert & Mary Strobel Scholarship to thirty very deserving recipients.
This year there were 81 applicants and 48 finalists for the scholarship awards. Applicants were from all over the country, at Prospect locations at airport stations from coast to coast.
In 2019, there were more applicants than ever before in the history of the Robert & Mary Strobel Scholarship. The increase in interest is due to a concerted effort by Prospect Airport Services to heavily publicize the scholarship program.
A new effort to encourage continuing education is the establishment of the Prospect Charitable Foundation in 2019. In past years, all qualified applicants received scholarships. Now with additional support and fundraising through the Prospect Charitable Foundation, it is anticipated more scholarships will be available in future years.
Each year in recognition of integrity, commitment and enterprise, the foundation awards scholarship funds. To date, more than 250 individuals have been awarded a total of more than $450,000. The scholarship was created by the founders of Prospect Airport Services, Robert and Mary Strobel and each year the scholarships are awarded in their honor.
Prospect President Vicki Strobel thanks all of the applicants and offers congratulations to the winners. “My Dad would be so proud, and my Mom certainly is!”, said Strobel.
