Prospect Airport Services is celebrating 54 years in business today,  January 21, 2020.   The company marked the occasion with an anniversary cake and a champagne toast at the corporate headquarters in Des Plaines, IL. 

Prospect President and CEO Vicki Strobel addressed gathered employees, and all Prospect team members around the country.  “There are not many companies that make it to 54 years but thanks to all of you, we have”, Strobel said.  “We are proud of you and proud of Prospect because of you.  We, as a Team, make a difference every single day!”  Strobel added the company has reached this milestone with “help from my friends”; referring to the dedicated team of management and employees, guests, customers and clients of Prospect. 

Prospect plans a small celebration at each Prospect location during Valentine’s Day week next month. 

Prospect Airport Services began on this day in 1966, founded by Bob and Mary Strobel.   The company started with a janitorial contract at O’Hare Airport.  Bob Strobel worked along with his handful of employees cleaning bathrooms and buffing floors at the airport.   In its 54 years, Prospect has grown to become the leading services company in the United States air transportation industry.
